ABOUT OUR FOUNDER:
Lisa Alpern Cucinotta is the founder and creative director of FashionFitsMe.com and BeautyPlusPower.com. Lisa is a full figured Fashionista with many years in the Plus Size industry. She launched Beauty Plus Power in 2003 and it has since been featured in Entrepreneur Magazine, BUST, Washington Woman, The Bergen Record, The Houston Chronicle, Salon.com, Delight.com and many other national publications. Lisa has also appeared on Good Morning America where she participated in a panel discussion regarding Plus Size women. A former makeup artist and hairstylist, Lisa contributed to a book on Plus Size weddings called “Down the Aisle in Style” by Chamein Canton, where she wrote about makeup tips geared to the Plus Size bride.
Lisa also produced the first ever Plus Size model calendar to be sold on Calendars.com and in Calendar Club stores around the country, called “LUSCIOUS – Women With Curves” that was published in 2007. Over the years Lisa has also acted as a consultant to many Plus Size fashion brands on both design and marketing.
